Radical Courage

On September 11, 2001, America changed forever as our known world came to a shocking end. In the following weeks, the world beamed compassion towards America and for a short while we were one. A decade later, with ongoing “wars on terror,” our fear of others – not the golden rule – is the metric we live by. Some say we are more divided, polarized, and afraid of each other, than ever before. In September 2011 we are in the midst of hugely complex, major astrological alignments that signify we live in intense times of change, socially, politically, economically, environmentally, and globally. I’ve heard it called “global weirding,” but whatever it is called, it is imperative to release fear NOW. Radical courage is required.

Radical is derived from Latin radix, meaning root, and the root word for courage is the Latin cor meaning heart. These times demand courage to live rooted in our hearts. Immense inner strength is achieved through facing fear and downing doubt. Acting with generosity and wisdom of the heart is like being the scarecrow, the tin man, and the cowardly lion rolled into one. For inspiration, I highly recommend revisiting the much beloved 1982 movie The Secret of NIMH, a paean to courage of the heart with its magical song, Flying Dreams.

Be present, as calm and receptive as possible, listen to your intuition, and nurture the strength of courage in your heart through unconditional love. Only you can do it. Love is the key.

Seventh Moon of Renewal

The September 18, 2009, Great New Moon (Friday, 12:44 p.m. MDT) in Virgo is the seventh new moon since Spring Equinox, also the new moon closest to Autumnal Equinox.  Cross-culturally, the Seventh Moon is an event of major archetypal import.

These coming days of the Great New Moon are filled with opportunity. 50 in 52

On September 2, 2009, I had the pleasure of meeting a remarkable young woman on an amazing journey. Dafna Michaelson, a single mom, had a marvelous idea about counteracting negative media which focuses on fear. 50 In 52 Journey is her “Journey to find the people in America who are problem-solvers, idea-generators, people in their communities, in their cities, and in their States who are moving America forward.” 50 in 52 is a wonderful site to explore, listen to people all over the US who have vision and the strength to make a difference. http://www.50in52journey.com/

Listen, Do You Want to Know a Secret?

Have you heard of Alphabiotics?  My attention was captured by an interview with a Boston Alphabioticist, Neal Smookler, in the Fall 2006 Spirit of Change, New England’s Alternative Health Resource http://spiritofchange.org/articles_archive.php?id=207.

“In the early 1920’s, in Buffalo Gap, Texas, a local physician discovered a way to address any human limitation with a simple movement of the head.  He found this one thing could do more good for a person in 30 seconds, than any other single event in their entire lives.  Within a few years he had a 9 month waiting list and thousands of people were driving across the country to see how he could help them.” http://www.alphabiotics.co.uk/

To be fair, the good doctor’s discovery was first named the Better Idea, which Dr. Virgil Chrane perfected through decades of treating hundreds of people each week.  Around 1971, Dr. Chrane gave the process a new label, Alphabiotics (or the Alphabiotic Unification Process) when it was applied to the vast catalog of human limitation.  If this 30 second process creates a fundamental shift in a multitude of dis-eases and dis-comforts, if it’s such a powerfully potent healing tool, why is Alphabiotics still practically a secret almost 90 years later?

Perhaps it’s human nature to ignore something simple in favor of our belief that our problems too complex to be resolved in a few seconds.  It takes only 15 to 30 seconds of a manually applied movement to the head – no twisting is involved and a ‘decompressing energy’ force is applied.  The process calms the central nervous system, re-aligns the spine, integrates and balances brain function.  It’s difficult to define and not possible to predict the results.  Yet, apparently, people get exactly what they need.

Intrigued, yet not having access to a professional Alphabioticist, and being a trained vibrational energy healer, I chose to experiment on myself.  I lay down and moved my hands into position holding my skull at a decompression angle and asked for guidance to bring forth the Alphabiotic Unification Process.  I induced an alpha brain wave and visualized a ‘reboot’ process occurring in the pineal gland located near the center of the brain between the two hemispheres.  Within seconds, I felt my brain light up.  The waves of light energy spread throughout my entire body, lighting up all the cells.  When I got up, I was energized and ready to deal with my day.  I’ve repeated the ‘reboot’ process many times since.

Fearlessly Floating into the Future

My very first foray into the blogosphere!  Those who know me well realize that face-to-face human connection is my passion, so while I love to network and communicate, building my comfort level with the facelessness of email took this elder almost a decade.  Now I have a web presence (thanks to my children and friends), I shall learn yet again navigation of a new communication technology portal.  My intention for blogging is to communicate with welcoming warmth and kind intelligence.  And so a new seed is planted.

My title reference to fearless floating comes from my sense of oceanic oneness with all that is—that no space / no time mystical place.  As we all know, fear is a staple of our current media diet, and in my view, fear can and shall be transformed into love.  When we fully awaken to timelessness, fear disappears and the inspiration of love can flow directly from Mother/Father/Birther of the Universe (or God/Goddess/whatever term works for you).  We effortlessly align our focus to each NOW moment and make the practical choices that create the next NOW moment.  In this blog I will share the moment by moment experience of scripting a life abundant with love, peace, and joy.
